December 19, 2025
Dear Patients:
It is with mixed emotions that I decided to take a long leave of absence from active medical practice, effective January 31st, 2026. It has been an honor, privilege, and a great pleasure providing for your health care needs over the years, and it is not easy for me to give it up for – possibly – an extended period.
As of February 1st, 2026, all 5 gastroenterologists at Digestive Health Associates agreed to be custodian of your medical records, and to continue to deliver excellent care for you. These doctors are Dr. G.S. Ramesh, Dr. J. George Sun, Dr. Joseph Krill, Dr. Cristian Dominguez, and Dr. Farid Abushamad. I have known all five physicians for many years, and I am sure they will take excellent care of you should you choose to see them. Their contact information is as follows:
Digestive Health Associates
Address: 21814 Katy Freeway, Suite 210, Katy TX 77449
Telephone: 713-468-2030
Website: https://dhahouston.com
If you would like to choose a different physician for your future care, please contact Harris County Medical Society (https://www.texmed.org/) for information about other gastroenterologists practicing in the Katy area.
Your medical records are confidential, and a copy can be transferred to another doctor or released to you or another person you designate only with your permission. Prior to January 31st, if you need your medical records from my practice, please visit our website at https://www.txdigestivehealth.com/ and fill out the Release of Information Authorization Form. You may e-mail this form to info@txdigestive.com. AFTER January 31st, please contact Digestive Health Associates, at the address and telephone number provided above. All your medical records will be safely stored and available to you for the next 7 years.
Best wishes for your future health,
Sincerely yours,
Andrzej J. Janecki, M.D., Ph.D.
